    You need to make this more objective by using a "digital ear" that you plug the earbuds into and it shows a digital readout of the decibals. You have a digital sound meter but that's the sound without the earbuds.

    I did this with a cnc machine at work and noticed a ton of heat buildup inside. How is yours after running for a few hours?

    • @WoodenCreationz
      @WoodenCreationz 3 місяці тому

      On long jobs I will run it for an hour… open the doors to let it cool off and sweep it out while I wait. I blow compressed air on the router to clean off the dust build up. Then fire it back up about 4-5 minutes later. I had this box in the video for about 3 years and never burnt up a router. I have a new larger box with a bigger cnc and had it 2 1/2 years and never burnt up a router on it either. I put a temp gauge in the box. When it gets up to the 90s I let the box cool off. If you think about it people in Arizona use cncs in hotter weather so really it’s fine. If I had ever burnt up a router I would think different but so far it seems to work great keeping sound down and dust to zero. Hope that helps. 👊🏻

    Hey WoodenCreationZ, I have watched this video and it is excellent. I have added the extension bed to my Evolution 4. I am confused about the UGS. Is that a special program. I am using Basic Cam and Basic Sender. Can you direct me?

    • @WoodenCreationz
      @WoodenCreationz 4 місяці тому

      Ugs is another program for sending the created cam file to the cnc. It’s just like basic sender. So if you are using basic cam and basic sender you won’t need ugs. You can use basic cam and ugs if you wanted. It’s just another program option that can help you send the file to the cnc. I have other videos on Vcarve showing how to use ugs if you want to see what it looked like. 👊🏻

    What’s the difference between ca glue and superglue

    • @WoodenCreationz
      @WoodenCreationz 4 місяці тому

      It’s the exact same thing. Cyanoacrylate is super glue. All superglue manufactures, make relatively the same thing only differences some are fresher than others, or some may be stronger than others, and have a longer shelf life. The dollar store superglue won’t be as high-quality and will likely be pretty runny and messy. While Starbond and others be higher quality with thickening agent to slow it down. Making it easier to work with.

    Do you know how I ended up here on this video this morning? Because I went to soften some cream cheese in the microwave. What the hell is in cream cheese that would make it spark. And to be clear, I never used an knife on it, and I did not have it in its original package, it was in a small glass, Tupperware. I also removed everything from the Tupperware and put it back on the microwave and it was not the Tupperware. The Philadelphia original cream cheese will spark in the microwave. What the hell is that about?

    I stumbled on this, and was like, ok, router software for $350 with some subscription cost, but a bummer that they have you by the coconuts by not allowing local storage. I worked for some CAD CAM companies that are well known now, and the quite expensive certainly is relative! I assume this is router specific or 2d machining related which is understandable to not need complex multiaxis and robot automated M/T centers with virtual environments etc. I guess I am just happy to hear that the under multi-thousand dollar option is a thing, but to not take away negative impressions of the top shelf options out there it is fair to say that the complexity and bandwidth from a small business to aerospace corporation is a very different animal, so not a good comparison. Just thought I'd comment, got thrown off by the "very expensive" comment regarding the 350, lol, 😯.....and I'm not poking fun, just such haven't heard that number in that context with CAM stuff. Believe me, I wouldn't want to push out a few hundered either for any software, and at the least they should not hold your projects hostage to leverage maintenance costs for software. That seems criminal to me. Low blow with that low cost, so I guess in time and intellectual property you are paying much more than a low front. Shame on the guys running a software op with your data held ransom. Geez. Well happy machining and keep up good educational videos!

      Thanks for the comment! Yeah it frustrates me the software's that hold your files and don't let you get to keep them. That was why bob wrote this one.
